Stylin
Chris and I were watching Sex and the City last night while we ate our dinner. I’ve been working my way through the series with a friend who’s never seen it, and since Chris is here, he’s been watching them with us.
We’re into the fourth season, and last night’s episode was “A ‘Vogue’ Idea” where Carrie gets a job at Vogue so she can pay for the apartment she had to buy in the previous episode. We were up to the scene where Carrie’s boss is helping her write an article that will make her nasty boss Enid happy.
“Hang on,” he suddenly insisted.
I paused the video and he jumped out of his chair. He moved to within a foot of the screen then looked back at me.
“What?” I asked.
He held up his finger in the universal “hang on” gesture, ran out of the room, rummaged in his suitcase, and then came back a few minutes later with a tie in his hand. I then realized, it was the same tie that the character in the scene was wearing… dark brown with big green spots.
“Who knew?” He said.
“What?” I asked again, this time almost afraid.
“I have style,” he said in a tone of genuine surprise.
The tie is by Kuhlman, and indeed, it proves he has style.

I’m a huge fan of Kuhlman. I’m glad to see it being mentioned in a blog that isn’t mine!
